For students who have successfully completed "Intro to Longsword" with NSHF
This course will run May 14 - June 18, 2026, meeting each Thursday 6-7:30pm.
This course will build upon the foundational elements of "Intro to Longsword", building upon footwork, guards, cutting and thrusting, students will learn to apply these skills and techniques primarily in contact partnered drills, in preparation for further technical training, concepts and sparring. Sword trainers are provided, athletic clothes and shoes are required. Basic gloves are recommended, loaners are available.
*A mask is required for this course. HEMA Alliance membership ($30) is also required. To join the HEMA Alliance, make sure to select Nashville School of Historical Fencing as your club to get a 50% discount. This is a yearly membership, registration can be found here:
